Wooly Wrist Warmers

by Deneen St Amour

Sizes: Fits average woman's size hand. Can be made wider by adding rows.

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn, about 1 and 1 half ounces. I used Wool of the Andes in Violet from Knit Picks.
      Hook size "I"

Stitches Used: chain (ch), double crochet (dc), slip stitch (sl st)

Directions:

Row 1: Chain 23. Double crochet (dc) in fourth chain from hook and in each chain across (21), ch 3 and turn.

Row 2: DC in second double crochet from hook and across (ch 3 counts as first dc), ch 3 and turn.

Row 3: Repeat row 2.

Row 4: Sc in second double crochet from hook and next 3 dc. Chain 6, skip 6 stitches and dc in remaining stitches across, ch 3 and turn.

Rows 5-12: DC in second double crochet from hook and across. At end of last row, do not ch 3.

Joining:

Chain 1 and turn. Fold wrist warmer in half lengthwise and slip stitch through both loops of the front and back of warmer.. Fasten off and weave in ends. Turn right side out and they are ready to wear!

These can easily be made longer by making your starting chain longer and wider by adding a row or two to the width.

These work up in about half an hour - 1 hour.
